Lessons five and six of my German Class concentrated on nouns. I came to the realisation that for every German noun I have to remember four pieces of information:

  1. the meaning (or translation) of the word
  2. the gender of the word – there are three genders; masculine, feminine and neuter
  3. the plural of the word – there are several word endings and vowel changes that can make the plural of a noun
  4. the pronunciation of the word

As you can see this has driven me to drink. It’s a challenge.
